"In the stark reality we live where you get what you pay for; chose the best and forget about the rest!!! Job Done 10/15-10/16 Where to begin! My wife and I just bought a house and wanted a larger back yard. Thus, for our project we were interested in extending our back yard to the property line that had been engulfed in brush, ivy, and trees since the early 90s when the house was built. This would include removing 5-6 very large oak trees that were all intimately close to our house (from 50-60 ft). As well as removal of many saplings, ground foliage, vines, ivy, and a god awful old rotted 3ft fence around the yard. Among three estimates ranging from $5,000-15,000$, Affordable Carolina was in the middle but we chose them based off of first impressions with Brian. He arrived for the estimate and was very professionally, he inquired about what our end goal plans were for the back yard, and lastly but best of all; he jumped right up in the brush and walked around in stuff so thick we couldn't see him. The two prior estimates never walked into the woods to see for themselves! Everything sounded good on both ends and we decided to go with them later that day. We scheduled for roughly 2 weeks out, meanwhile Brian and his crew arrived when they said they would and got right to work. It was reserved as a 2-3 day job and after day one, the transformation was already amazing. The day 1 crew of 6 (-ish) guys, two open box dump trucks, 1 tractor/loader, and a closed box truck with accompanying chipper; worked very hard and efficiently. Every team member knew what to do when it needed to be done and the job came off as a symphony of sorts from an outsiders point of view. At the end of day 1, the guys cleaned the property very well and assured our driveway and house were accessible. Brian called us after day 1 to see if we'd had a chance to check everything out and see if we had any questions. Day two involved removal of the remaining 2.5 trees and stump grinding for all down trees. Echoing day 1, the work went off efficiently, professionally, and despite lasting all day (8/9a-6p) the crew worked their tales off until it was done. Upon completion the yard and property were blown clean, tractor ruts were filled and tamped, stump grindings spread around the old stump sites and mounded. Brian gave a knock on the door late afternoon day 2, and wanted to go over everything to assure it was up to par. He remained professional, down to earth, and honest throughout the entire process. They did the work that was agreed upon, charged what was estimated, and informed us of one rotting tree in the back of the property!! Our most sincere gratitude to Brian and the guys at Affordable Carolina Tree Service for all the hard work and commitment to excellence! You guys rock and we will definitely be contacting y'all for any future jobs."
